Tour news

What a finish in Dubai!

A massive effort in the back nine from Tommy Fleetwood to birdie 5 out of the last 7 and put some major pressure on John Rahm. The Spaniard was up to the job though, making a gutsy birdie at the 18th meaning Tommy had to settle for second place in the tournament and The Race To Dubai.

Still a fantastic end to the season and I'm sure my Dad will be glad of a few weeks rest!

Pro's news

Pro's Winter Series

It was Week 6 last week and it was good to get it played over the full course after a rare dry spell of weather. Debutant Gerry Kearney landed the first prize with a score of 41 points despite scoring none on the 18th hole.

Despite the hiccup, he still managed to win on a back nine count back from Steve McAllister who came back in 20 points to Gerry's 21. The win at the first attempt put's Gerry firmly inside the top 20 in the O.O.M. at 16th place.

This week's competition will be over 18 holes again weather permitting.

Pro's Christmas Competition

As expected, the start sheet is already full for this competition. If anybody still wants to play there will be a limited number of times available on the 9th tee.

Please contact me in the Pro Shop and your team can still play. There's not many times available though so be quick.

Reverse advent calendar

I will be starting the reverse advent calendar again on Sunday, 1 December in aid of The Trussell Trust South Liverpool Foodbank. Each time you come to the club, please bring an item for the foodbank and drop it off at the Pro Shop.

Last year this was a huge success and very well supported by members so let's make sure this year is even better. It's a very worthy local cause.
