Dave Morris waiting for The Masters!

Dave Morris decided to treat himself for his 60th birthday and booked in a fitting with Iain.

After spending some time Dave came out with a set of Taylormade SIM MAX OS irons with KBS tour shafts and a yardage gain of 20 yards and more accurate dispersion on account of weakened lofts to add some extra spin to the shot.

With an extra layer of tape under the right hand in the grips, they feel perfect and the wedge combination will give an excellent spread of yardages.

Dave really liked the swing weight of the Ping G410 iron but the SIM performed better for him so Iain matched up the swing weight in the SIM irons so they felt better for Dave. Dave will soon be taking advantage of his follow up appointment for a gapping session to make sure he fully geared up for the season.

He's now sitting tight and waiting to see when The Masters will be played to see if Tommy Fleetwood can win him a full refund!

Sociable sessions

Playing golf with your friends is one of the best things about this sport but, if you’re tired of playing long strokeplay rounds in your fourball, why not try some of the fun formats below the next time you find yourself going out in a four?

4BBB

This game is a lot of fun and sees both team members play their own ball, with the lowest score counting at each hole. In a fourball betterball match, players receive 90% of the difference from the player with the lowest handicap.

Greensomes

Both partners tee off on each hole. You then choose the best drive and play alternate shots for the rest of the hole. Your greensomes handicap should be 60% of the lower partner’s handicap added to 40% of the higher partner’s.

Gruesomes

This is a great way to find out who your true friends are as the format is the same as Greensomes only your opposition decide which drive you play from. Although don't blame us if you all end up falling out over it.
