Hello All I hope you haven't gone round the bend just yet after a full week without golf!! At least we've got The Masters to keep us occupied for the next four evenings! I say evenings but I notice the tee times are earlier than usual, for obvious reasons, so last off on Thursday and Friday is just 5.30 pm our time. The Masters to watch.....and an early night! What can beat that? My personal pick for this year, Tommy Fleetwood aside, has already skidded a ball across the lake for a hole in one at the famous 16th and has looked a major winner in waiting for some time. Yes, it's the big Spaniard, John Rahm, already a PGA Tour winner this season and has a game that suits Augusta well. It's hard to see how he won't go very close to a first major this week. Enjoy the read!

Click and Collect Don't forget, we're still running a click and collect service from the Pro Shop, so any golf equipment you would like can still be ordered and collected. When lockdown finishes we anticipate a high demand for Iain's fitting services, we've had to cancel all fittings and in the run-up to Christmas. There's generally demand for new clubs around this time so it's well worth planning ahead and getting yourself booked in for early December to make sure you don't miss out! That will give you the best chance of getting your clubs for Christmas because the suppliers will be snowed under as well.
|
Top Up your account and get an extra 10%! Throughout lockdown, this offer will remain. Bank transfer money into your shop account and I will add 10% to whatever the top-up amount is. Contact me directly for my bank details or call the shop and leave a message if there's nobody there. |
Pro's Christmas Draw I would normally have my Christmas draw up and running in the shop now. This year I will be starting it as soon as we can re-open again so please try to make a point of visiting the shop to purchase some tickets pre-Christmas. This year's first prize is: A fully custom-fitted TaylorMade SIM Driver! Worth £429! As always there will be lots of other prizes too, so be sure to watch this space for when we are open for entries!

Reverse advent calendar in aid of The South Liverpool Food Bank I will be running a reverse advent calendar again from the day we re-open right through until Christmas Eve.
The idea of the "reverse" calendar is that instead of receiving something each day, you actually give something each day. It has worked very well for the last two years and this year, with more members at the club, I am hoping I can collect more than ever!
This year I will not be collecting food as the South Liverpool food bank is in need of a bigger warehouse to operate from and need the funds to enable them to rent somewhere for the next 2 years. For this reason, I would like to do all I can to help this cause and will be looking for monetary donations instead.
There will be a box in the pro shop for all donations and a bit of loose change donated when you visit the club will soon mount up over the month.
Please give generously to a very important local cause that, in today's modern society, really shouldn't be necessary.

| | | Masters week is upon us It’s a Masters unlike any other, and yet the same unique excitement has been hanging in the air for weeks now. In fact, with everything going on in the world, this four-day reprieve feels more special than ever. All bets are off. Or, at least, they should be. Nobody in this field has played a Masters in November, so who knows what could happen? But, if there’s one thing to get you excited for this week, it’s what happened last time out and Tiger's incredible 15th Major victory.
Will we see another remarkable storyline etched into golf's history? Could Rory finally complete his career Grand Slam? Or maybe Bryson's new-found game plan will conquer Augusta National? Whatever happens over the next few days, enjoy the viewing!

| Shop closed but Order & Collect running Following government guidelines, we're running an Order and Collect service for our golfers. Maybe you want a dozen balls to practise your chipping at home? Perhaps you want to get ahead with your Christmas shopping and order a club crested sweater? Or, just maybe, you've been eyeing up a new toy in recent weeks? Whatever it is, send us a message below and we'll sort it for you. We appreciate your support.
